If you want to ensure your courses are seamlessly purchasable, Stripe’s test mode is an excellent way to simulate transactions using dummy credit cards. Follow these steps to get started:
Enable Test Mode in Stripe
Log in to your Stripe account.
Toggle the Test mode switch located at the top bar of your Stripe dashboard.
With test mode enabled, click on Developers in the bottom-left corner of the side navigation.
Select API Keys from the sub-navigation.
Create a Restricted Key
Name and Configure Your Key
Enter Innform as the name of the key.
Input https://app.innform.io in the URL field.
Finalise Key Creation
5. Input Key on Innform
You can now input this restricted key within Innforms Account Settings > Integrations > Stripe Shop. At the same time you also have to define the preferred currency for your shop.
6. Activate Stripe Automated Tax
Now your Stripe Account is connected to Innform. Up next, please activate the automated Stripe Tax feature within your Stripe Account.
You will find more details about the Stripe Tax Setup here.
7. Define pricing
Edit the Course which you want to sell
Activate the Stripe Shop setting and define a price (excl. VAT)
Once the price is set, Innform will create the product on your Stripe account
8. Enable course in Explore section
As a last step, enable the course within your Explore section. This can happen through your quick action here in the Course Settings or within your Account Settings.
Important: When you directly assign a paid course to a user, no charges are applied. A user will only be charged if they initiate the purchase process themselves from the Explore section.
This test setup allows you to make dummy purchases without affecting any real payment details, ensuring you can confidently test your Innform shop before rolling it out to your learners. Stripe dummy Credit Card details can be found here.
Once you have completed testing, you can disconnect your account again in the Innform Account settings and use the setup guide for the live system.
